Elliot Regenbogen, MD

Dr. Regenbogen joined the faculty practice at Downstate in 2017, bringing 26 years of experience in Otolaryngology. He is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery as well as additional research and clinical experience in laryngology. For the past nine years at SUNY Stony Brook, his accomplishments included establishing a dedicated laryngology clinic, motility center for swallowing disorders, research in laryngopharyngeal reflux, creating an emergency airway simulation training program and helping to successfully reestablish the Otolaryngology residency training program. He has been a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery since 1991 and the American Academy of Geriatric Otolaryngology since 2010. Committed to the development of effective evidenced based medical practice, he has participated in the Cochrane Scholars Program in 2010 and was a recipient of the Guidelines International Network (G-I-N) Conference AAOHNSF Scholar Grant in 2015. Emphasizing a patient-centered approach, his practice will provide medical and surgical treatment options for adult and pediatric ear, nose and throat issues with a focus on voice and swallowing, complex airway management, nasal and sinus surgery, sialoendoscopy, thyroid surgery and the treatment of sleep disordered breathing.
